Bailing out Capitalism

It is staggering how quickly the world’s governments and US congress can get their hands on 750 bn to bail out wall street banks - in this morally corrupt system where banks operate, should we not have a pre-condition for these payments? What about action on poverty? Clean water? The environment? Its amazing the US government can get hundreds of billions released over the weekend, to bail out fat cats on wall streets, and no similar action has never been taken eradicating poverty, disease, and environmental pollution. Its a moral as well as a financial bankruptcy.

We value companies at billions in the market place and the world’s rainforests are valued at nothing - a plastic toy that takes 5 thousand year to decompose costs 50 cents to buy - our value systems needs to change to offer a foreseeable “future possible” to the next generation. Unfortunately it takes a break down of the old system for this to happen, with bail outs such as this we are only continuing with business as usual. There will not be a culture change in wall street, nobody talks about this. Instead we will continue down the path of more senseless economics, which values crude oil more than pure water and sees no value in the biosphere that sustains us.
